Ricardo Junqueira is a photographer based in Lisbon, Portugal, since 2012. He specializes in architectural photography, interior design, hospitality, portraits, travel, fine arts, commercial, and advertising photography, serving clients from around the world. He also produces videos and aerial photography.
Over the course of a 30-year career, he has worked with architects, real estate developers, magazines, advertising agencies, and others, including The Wall Street Journal, Vogue, Casa Vogue Magazine, Condé Nast Traveller, Elle, Grup Sehrs, Editora Abril, Editora Globo, Airbnb, Alamy, Getty Images, BASF, Petrobras, and Banco Itaú.
He was born in Brasília, where he lived until the age of 22. He began photographing in 1979 and became a professional photographer in 1984. In 1988, he moved to São Paulo to further develop his career in the field. Since 1985, he has participated in solo and group exhibitions and has received several awards, both in Brazil and internationallyHe co-coordinated a research center, portfolio development, and exhibitions at the Collectors Gallery (São Paulo), and taught photography at the Panamerican School of Art in São Paulo, one of the largest art schools in Brazil. He has been a member of Abrafoto – the Brazilian Association of Advertising Photographers since 1999, of RPCFB – the Network of Cultural Producers of Brazilian Photography since 2009, and of AFP – the Association of Professional Photographers of Portugal.
